Taken from the rickety U Bein Bridge near Mandalay. I believe reading that this is the longest teak bridge in the world.

Superb composition full of calmeness... The colors are awesome and the silhouette of the tree just perfect for this scene. Its tormented forms create a nice contrast with the lazy river.
Well done !

Beautiful scene Caleb. The colour is just perfect and so is your composition. Can't see the bridge, but I'll take your word for it. :)

Fantastica! dos melhores por do sol que já vi. Muitos parabéns. Eu apenas cropava também um pouco a parte superior.

A lake, a tree with the reflection, a red sky with an orange sun, all elements are there for a good picture and you succeed. Bravo!

I just love sunset pictures. But this one has something special.. The colours, the tree, the reflection. You made the perfect picture. Well done, Caleb!

Very harmonious, great colours, and caught at just the right moment before the sun went down. Great shot.

Beautiful scenario Caleb. The colours are just great and I just love the dark tones.
Though I think that I would crop it about 1/5 from the top just where the sky turns red because in my opinion the light blue in the top takes out the effect – also there are some disturbing spots above the tree and they would disappear by cropping.

What a stunning photo! I love the colour and reflection. I think the composition is spot on and everything is clear and sharp. It gives a real sense of peace and calm - very relaxing.

Very nice sunset
PechePassion (483) 2004-01-05 1:47
Whaou ! Un super couché de soleil tres rouge genial le rendu des couleurs.
L'arbre sur la droite apporte le plus qui fait que sans lui cette photo n'aurais pas le même charme.
Bien vu .

Great use of silhouette to contrast the light & colour... although the workshoped version gives the shot more balance, I like it as is, well done!

A great picture from U Bein Bridge. I like the silhouette of the tree, disturbed by small waves.
I guess that you took this picture during the dry season as the sky is cloudless and the tree does not have any leaves...

I took a pic of the same tree! Gorgeous colours. You got some detail in the ground, too.

Getting your reply on my palm trees - thanks, too much credit!! ;-) - I had to have a look at your pictures. Since Myanmar is such an interesting country, I had to go for your collection on Myanmar.
I like how you seem to specialize towards portraits, but this one is a special picture. I don't agree with the workshops. The picture does get his whole power out of the curve, out of the guessing of where it goes to the left of the picture.
The quality is wonderful, certainly when taking into account that this is a scanned 35 mm! You can the negatives? Was it a negative or a slide? I quite often used slides, since the results in my slide/negative scanner were so much better (Minolta Dimage Scan Elite II).
Thanks for sharing! Dennis

Splendid landscape shot !
Generally you are excellent in "people", and a bit less in landscapes. But this one is excellent.
Just found it by coincidence.

This is an amazing picture of sunset. I especially like the reflection of the tree. And the sun is nicely placed in the framed. You must have waited for this moment to come. Well done. Sothy
