Wow, the cigarett is amazing, very nice picture Elaine, I like this lady, her natural expression, she didn't notice your presence.
Well done
Luan

Hi Elaine,
Great close-up portrait! The lady is really concentrated and taking pleasure in smoking this cigar. And what a cigar!! Good colours and sharpness. Thank you for sharing,
Regards,
Ricardo

You are deep in Luko territory here but handled differently. Cherrots, ah...yes! Superb bokeh for delineation and a fantastically apt quote from one of my favorite (oikitically incorrect!!!) powems in the English language.
Bravo, Elaine!
Francis

Hi Elaine,
Great DOF, I like how you have captured the expression of satisfaction on the lady, what a disproportionatley large cigar!
Well seen
Regards
Daniel

hi elaine, a great shot, it should be on every box of cigarettes instead of "smoking can seriously damage your health" or other non-convincing bulls...;
this portrait tells the whole story!
best wishes, j.

hi Elaine, this is a wonderful portrait, firstly your DOF is nice, blurring out the distraction of the million colours and objects of the market, secondly you seem to have managed to get in close and not get a reaction from her (natural) and thirdly you have caught an amazing moment.
The face of this woman is full of character and that whopping big smoke, very very good. Excellent note too.

Hi Elaine,
Wonderful portrait on this old woman. Like her satisfied look with that giant cigarette.
Nice DOF and details.
Well done
Fred

Hoi Elaine, This is such a fantastic portrait, wow , what a blow! This lady defenitely seems to find a lot of satisfaction in her big cigar. It looks like anything could have happened around her; she wouldn't have noticed. Her gaze is focussed on eternity. An exceptional shot! Sabine

Hi Elaine

A superb daily life shot of the cheroot? I've seen similar images to this used as covers for travel brochures. Good dof & sharpness. Well done!

He he! Yes I think it's the same woman too!
The picture is a good portrait, though she
might could have a glanse at you!
Did you use flash?
If so, I guess working with natural light, would
make for the background to be lighter, and
maybe get less powerful, yet telling the story
that it's from a market...

Terje

good portet, what a cigar. I like my havanas :)))

Hi Elaine,
it's me again looking to more of your shots.
This is also a VIP-Lady - I also met her on a market and made some shots, haha.
Thanks and bye
