Caleb, I'm usually skeptical about sunsets/sunrises because many I see (TE's not an exception) simply rely on colors of the sky and few bring a deeper sight or thought behind.
Photo is IMHO not just about reproducing colors, it must bring a sense of time, action or mood.

I like yours because i think that the earlier time you've taken your shot added mood and atmosphere about the landscape. this is not about color, this is like eyes opening and blinking to the light, the landscape is revealed but not clearly yet ; you still have to guess between silhouettes and mist, what the scene will look like under a higher sun.

Maybe its not Bagan you captured here, but an iamge of the early morning feel. Yes, i think you've captured an atmosphere not a landscape.

I like how the tops of the pagodas can also be found in the mist. Great tones, good composition. Very well captured.

Love the sunrise image. That must have been a rugged climb in the early morning to deal with mist and condensation. Di you try any sunset images from that area?
