Et quel bel hommage, bertrand... Cette grosse tete qui semble percer le cadre vers nous a gauche... Nous pleurons tous dans nos coeurs pour ce peuple lacere, viole par ces truands... Et ca dure depuis des decennies. Je crais qu'a moins d'une intervention internationale et arme de l'ONU, genre "Kossovo" avec grands appui aerien axe sur la nouvelle capitale cucu dans la jungle, rien ne changera. Il faut les faire sauter de leur lit ces salauds de generaux.
Et la Chine, que fait-elle?

les pleunicharges au sujet de la birmanie de ce jour n'ont rien à voir avec cette photo.La situation dramatique,mais pas nouvelle du pays,est valable pour bien d'autres.La birmanie souffre de la dictature de la junte militaire depuis des années,et c'est pas près de finir.l'actualité semble reveiller ...d'un seul coup,on est loin des ballons à touristes...un peu d'honneteté dans les commentaires..

Hi Bertrand. Yes I hear about this country on the news quite a bit as of late. You've got flawless sharp focus and great use of the DOF. I love on the far left the kid is trying to get in the picture. The way the light and shadows is working puts this one over the top for me.

Salut Bernard, A great tribute to the people of Birma. I like the compo and the partly shadowed kid is a nice symbolic detail. These kids will need the spark in their eye and all their youthfull resilience to overcome that damned oppression. Let's keep our fingers crossed but I'm not very hopeful when I consider the rather lame reaction of the international community.

A worthwhile tribute to the people of Burma. The children don't yet understand and so can be joyful as they should be when young. You captured the children's spirit perfectly, especially the way they all lean forward anxious to be included in your photo.

tres belle image bertrand, avec une lumière pénétrante venue de je ne sais où! Les enfants s'amusent et l'autorité, derrière veille... tout un symbole!!! alors qu'un photo reporter japonais a été tué ainsi qu'un journaliste allemand (Lu à l'instant dans la presse italienne). je crains le pire pour la birmanie!

Bertrand,
a wonderful moment of catch with the curiosity glooming out of those happy eyes towards your lens. Eyes that certainly are frightened at the moment and puzzeled not understanding of what is going on right now.
Extremely sad to see how history repeats itself on and on without any learning. People still have to die to get the opportunity to express their believes and thoughts regarding freedom.
