I've been attracted from the deep black of the eyes and the glance of this child. It may be curious or careful or fearful ... I cannot say.

Here we are in the Chin state, in the Mount Victoria (Matmathaug) area, close to Mindat. There are many villages that lies on the sides of the mountain.
Chin people live here in traditional way in very poor bamboo house where in a corner there is the fire to cook and to warm up.
Here we are from 1400 m. on level sea to 1800 m. and in the evening it's very cold. I can comfirm.

There are many children, as usual in this part of the world, who often are dusty and dirty with dirty and broken clothes.
But almost always you can see them smiling.... not this time.

i like your photograph very much. i think it's a great portrait. however i think that b&w is one of those compositional choices that would work well here.
