[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On my way to Esakkan I frequently stopped to admire the beauty of the landscape and to interact with the locals.

The dusty roads zigzag up verdant hills of bamboos trees and cultivations. Along the road small bamboo houses with the people absorbed outside in their daily activities.

Ciao Luca,
Buona serata
Alberto

BRAVISSIMOOO!
ciao!
Valeria

Hi Luca,
Wonderful daily life composition.
Amazing light, wonderful greenry in background.
I like much the tatooed face, the deep glance of this woman and the smoke around the pipe.
TFS,
Corinne

Hello, Luca. I am much impressed by this picture. Even with a brighter light behind you managed to show the details of her tatooed face. It is a very interesting subject and a great capture. She has beautifully shiny hair and the detail is so clear you can see light catching short strands of it. Congratulations on a really fabulous shot. TFS,
Shelly

Hi, Luca. A very good portrait of this Chin woman with her tattooed face. The background with its green hues and shiny spots of light makes her stand out very well. Seeing her smoking a pipe makes her portrait original, this is not a very common sight. Perfect exposure and focus.

Hi Luca,
This is such a great portrait. She looks calm and curious at the same time. Great details and not an easy one taken in front of the light.

Hello, Luca--

Nice work on this one, the expression on her face is very piercing, with a very cold, emotionless lower half, but a heavy brow, almost seeming worried. The crop is nice, leaving just her hand in. The bokeh is great, as well, with highlights echoing the portrait.

Thanks!
sam

Wonderful light and bokeh here, Luca. The cool crisp colours jump from the screen. the fine details of her tatoos make this a perfect TE portrait.

Magnificent portrait! Simply gorgeous! The colours are stunning and the bokeh absolutely perfect, I simply love the details that are just right leaving us guessing what's in the background... What I am most astonished by is the light on the person's face. Did you do any sort of on-site light adjustments or was there a naturally reflective surface there to allow you to capture this so well?
In every case, it is an excellent capture!
TFS! Julia

Ciao Luca,
Complimenti e buona serata!

Hi Luca, A wonderful portrait of this lady bathing in beautiful light. I like the glance she is giving you with somewhat suspicion, curiosity and warmth. I enjoy the elegance and nonchalance with which she holds the pipe, the smoke curling around her hand. Those face tattoos are so interesting and unusual, I'm sorry I missed that part of the country. The way the vertical lines of her tattoo is continued in the pattern of her shirt, as well as repeated in the blurred lines of the background, really make this an even more outstanding work! Sabine

Hi Luca!

One of my favorites among your pictures from Myanmar. Even if it lacks of light on her face, and if she is standing too centrally in the frame. You have chosen very well your model. I find this woman beautiful and expressive, and her tattoos, interesting. I also like the movement of her hand, a gesture about which I can't tell if it's awkward or experienced. Your DOF is good, what does not waste anything...! Greetings!

I don't know yet this part of Myanmar. Did it required a special permit to enter in this area?

Regards,
Marine
