View to Khan Ger Camp Photo

Photographer’s Note

Taken late afternoon, from behind the Mirage Ger Camp, in Gorkhi Terelj National Park, about 60 km north east of Ulan Bator. The Khan Ger Camp is across the valley. I preferred Mirage because it had hot showers, (The blue roofed building at right). Apparently, 2007 was the driest Spring in decades, & the grass is normally much greener this time of year. Polarized for saturation.

Interesting and beautiful landscape. I imagine with greener grass the view is even more breathtaking. The blue building is a nice little focal point in this vast panorama. Nice colours and sharpness. Thanks Chris.

Olá Chris, in that case I would prefer the Mirage as well :D Another great view over the surrounding landscape. I like the interplay bettween this rocky FG and the mountains in the distance creating a good depth. I see pleasant walks that can be done, while staying in the camps.

what a fantastic place to be an have the opportunity to get to know. It sounds exotic, extremely far away of any routes in my life. The image with its composition having the boulders in the foreground followed by the plain in the middle and finally the mountains in the background is excellent.

It reminds me somewhat of Montana, wonderful landscape, of course different infrastructure, I also would have opted for the hot showers.
