Hello,

I know that I am not frequent visitor on TE lately. Those days when I started my day with browsing through new posts nearly every morning are gone for now. However I don’t want to be completely forgotten, so here is my another post from my trip to Mongolia.

It was taken in Ongiin Khiid monastery. The ruined monastery lies in two halfs on the banks of the Ongiin river. It was destroyed by the communist purges of the thirties and is being restored by a number of monks. It is an amazing site and stretches across the valley in the mountainous area around the river. There is not much left from the original place therefore I was happy to capture that beautiful sunset with the silhouette of pavilion.

très jolie image d'ombres chinoises. La composition est bien vue avec cette contuction de bois à gauche.

Well this is a nice surprise! I was looking through the gallery, and right away I see a shot that stands out, for it's simplicity and strength, brilliant colour, and great ambiance. What a magnificent silhouette set against what seems to be a magnificently open space. A feeling of peace and quiet... this shot really works for me :D
Wish I was in Mongolia :D

Heel subtiel gefotografeerd, met oog voor detail en licht. Die zachte pasteltinten werken heel mooi tegen de contouren van het klooster.
En alhoewel je er dan wat minder bent hier op TE, je foto's vergoeden een hoop.

Its nice to see you posting again, hopefully your work will allow you to post a bit more often. Very nice monument, I think the way you have captured the silhuete against the sky makes the temple look even more magnificent,
