Photographer's Note
This photo was taken same morning as my first photo from Mongolia. As I said already, I was first bit disappointed as I've had different light, timing and conditions in my mind, however I was rewarded with completely different result than I hoped for and I really love it. I just wonder how many different faces of desert I am still about to see...

Hi Lucie! Glad to see you posting regularly. Hope that work has loosed a bit... This picture of yours is all about what you do best: controlling light. The textures are amazing, specially on the background dune. One can really feel the wind there. Love the dark part on the foreground, the strong light above it sculpting a triangle and the gentle earthy color tones. A great shot!

The upper half of your shot is definitely eye pleasing. but I am not so sure with the balk diagonal shadow. It gives the impressions that its not from the sand dunes.
Take Care!

Good photo with strong graphical touch. Simple in form with limited colour range but strong and dynamical composition.

It's amazing when you go to take photos, that what is often disappointment at first (because the conditions weren't what you saw in your mind's eye) turns into brilliant shots when you readjust your thinking and go with the conditions in front of you. This is a wonderful shot, again with the combination of sharply defined lines at the top of the dunes, and the soft, gradual transitions from light to dark on the dune faces. It's a really beautiful combination, and it's presented so well in this shot, with huge diagonals crossing the frame and giving this a more dramatic feel than the previous shot you posted from the dunes, which was horizontal. Superb!

Dear Lucie,
it's a pleasure to see your images again, welcome back! I like this photo for the line graphism and the rolling sand from the edge of the dunes.
It reminds me a lot my image of Algeria.
I'm waiting to see you next images soon...
A smile

Hello,
Still one very very beautiful stereotype the form of these dunes and their colors which plays with the shades is slpendide.

Hu Lucie,
that's a great graphical shot.I like very much the diagonal lines (very sharp) and the "random" movement of the sand (very smooth).
Very well done.

A bit less abstract than your previous post. I like the diagonal lines and dark shadows. Again the wind blown sand adds an intriguing point of interest. Great work.

Hello Lucie,
Very impressive picture. You just managed to turn a landscape into something unreal. Whithout the note, it would be quite impossible to say what it is...
That's graphical, that's estonishing, I like it !
Have a nice week-end

Hola Lucie...a stunning view: great graphics with those lines, lovely lighting brings out soft brown hues and at the same time renders the wind. Certainly evocative.

Graphic effects are definitvely ones of your strengths and you're right it is quite exciting to see how many different desert faces you're able to see and capture. The low light and the wind travelling over the dunes and carrying some sand gives a astounding effect.
The frame is in my opinion a littel bit to opressive.
Cheers, Peter

Hello Lucie,
Fantastic shot of the desert! I love how the dunes are a bit wind swept and how the fine details are showing in the sand! The lighting here is very beautiful which helps with perspective and depth! Great work, Lucie!

Hello Lucie,
Superbe prise de vue ! La teintes uniforme de l'image est très belle et les voluptes de sable sont parfaitement saisies. J'aime beaucoup les formes générales,. Les diagonales donnent beaucoup de dynamisme à ta photographie !
Bravo !

Hi Lucie:
Fantastic photo! It's not just the many triangular shapes and the parallel lines, but the texture of the sand, the lighting, the subdued color of the sand--everything about it is a great photograph. I especially like the texture provided by the whirlwind to the right. Thanks for sharing!
