This portrait of a nomad boy a sunset shows his family gers and shack in the background. I spent two days with here mostly playing volleyball with the entire extended family. He is holding a ballpoint pen I gave him.

He is so adorable. I can't imagine being him. Living a life of a nomad. Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. It is a very interesting thing that opened up my eyes a little.
How nice that you got to spend some time with them. :)

Hi Hugh
What a nice composition the child is lovely and the yurt back with this beautiful sky is perfect.
Good job
regards
Claude

Good use of fill-flash to make this cute kid stand-out against what is a great backdrop of the typical Mongolian dwellings. I like the composition very much, Hugh, but you have a tilt on this which is a bit distracting. There's room to rotate and crop without spoiling your composition (although it would leave the bottom of the frame very close to the boy's feet). Cheers . . . David

i love his eyes,so much they try to say,and you did touck a great shot.anes

Beautiful portrait and excellent perspective as well.. Excellent! Regards, Doug

Hugh: sometimes flashes just work. This is an instance for sure; it adds a strange, snapshot feel to the image. I like how you captured the image just at dusk so one can easily resolve the background details. fine stuff. regards, c

Beautiful baby. Good capture. Well done.

Beautiful Hugh!
Mongolia is another country I want to visit in the future!
This little boy, these gers, this horizon... give me a good idea of the spaces you can meet in that beautiful country.
Thanks
Alberto
