Summer camp in Mongolia, a photo from South Hangay, West

Photographer's Note

This is a summercamp of a few mongolian families with there horses and lifestock.
In the earlier days they changed camp 3 or 4 times.
Nowadays maybe not at all. That`s one of the reasons there is overgrazing and desertification.

Hi Jan, This is fascinating- wonderful two different tones of green with a sharp line between them.. It must be very difficult for the nomads now they are restricted from roaming. well framed and well presented. congrats Rich

Excellent wide space shown in the plains. Beautiful is the light of the plain and forms a good contrast with the dark hills. Nice and fresh luscious green grass and its white Mongolian yurt. When you look at this picture wants a broad breathe.

a strong minimalism which emphasizes those large expanses. The subdued colors in the bzckground and the overall horizontality are well chosen.

Hello Jan,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see a flat prairie with rich greenery and a circular portable tent dwelling. It's impressive in the pasturage horses which are eating grass, too. Even so, it is a grand life space. And, It's interesting in the green color contrast of prairie and mountain.
