A lonely yellow flower, (perhaps a dandelion) struggling, & succeeding, in clinging to life, in a barren section of the old 'Garage 24' Russian truck stop. In winter, Lake Khovsgol is frozen solid, & many trucks used the Lake as a highway before 1991, & the collapse of the Soviet Union.
This shot reminded me of the album cover of Led Zeppelin 4 (Stairway to Heaven).

We are very often on the site per same hour:-). A very original photograph and a framing which gives much of depth to the composition. Well considering the small yellow flower with before plan which contrasts well with the concrete.
I wish you an excellent weekend.

An interesting and unusual composition. The well chosen point of view takes full advantage of the geometric lines. Very good lectures heighten the feeling of desolation.

We should pay attention to those precious little things, great presentation for a humble little flower, I like this big rectangle but also what we can see behind : very interesting !

excellent shot! I love this dry devastated scenery of old ruins, empty of everything but still with a small glance of life, this small yellow flower taking this devastated place for its own. A great symbolic note of how a living beings can grow and live inspite of heavy conditions. Excellent!
Kind regards and great w-end,

Hi Chris!A big idea and a experienced eye gave blow and importance in few live with flower corner! and in the slot of window with romanticism and perfect shoot and nothing becomes the soyper model and astonishing frame. Me impressed the simplicity.

This is a strange one Chris. I can't get a handle on the scale. Thinking the flower is no more than 30cm tall (if that) the ruined room beyond looks tiny. Maybe it's further away than it looks and the perspective is playing tricks with my eyes. Well spotted and very creative framing.

Hi Chris... I love how this window creates another frame inside the frame. Good idea. You mention the color in the title of the photo, and yes, you are right, is the final touch of it. Take care.

Nice shot, Chris. I like your POV and the DOF. Strange place to grow for flowers. Nice texture of the wall. Good tones. Nino.

Actually yes, this view reminds me a bit of the LZ IV cover... very good perspective through the window and a flower to enliven the scene...

There is definitely a similarity to that famous album cover, with those cracks and the flaking paint. Great eye to be able to spot the lone flower in this sea of concrete, and very interesting use of the hole in the wall. Nice work!
