Photographer’s Note
An impromptu stop, somewhere to the west of Hujirt. The image quality is not great, but this area of Mongolia, is so poorly represented on TE, that I still thought it was worth uploading.
The locals sell berries, to passing cars, to supplement their meagre income.

Hello Chris,
Interesting to see this landscape that is not so well known in the West. I like the composition and juxtaposition between the hut and distant mountain. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Chris,
This landscape is almost identical to the ones I am posting on Clarno in Oregon, the only difference, you have green grass, no rocks, and plenty of water it appears.
This is an excellent look into the landscape and living conditions one would find in Western Mongolia. I think it is a great image so those that may want to venture there will have an idea of what they may experience and will have a much better idea of what to expect. Maybe, they will discover Genghis Kahn's gravesite?
Maybe not...
Excellent image...

Hi Chris,
I'm not sure if the grass in the roof was intended for insulation or just neglect. Nevertheless, this has now become very popular method in insulating the house the 'green' way. Wonderfully captured and presented. Tfs

Hi Chris,
Nice picture here along with some useful info. Thge picture is lil' small, but still I enjoyed it. The place looks breath taking and texture is great and so is depth.
Nice work.

Hi Chris,
Nice perspective of this rural cabin. Colors are somewhat unnatural to my eye (may be me screen) and maybe a wee bit overexposed? Good work though and TFS. Gerald

Bonsoir, Chris,
Merci, Chris, de nous faire partager ce paysage que rien ne vient troubler, dans cette nature rude mais généreuse de ce pays, la plénitude du corps et de l'esprit. Tous les sens s'imprègnent de l'harmonie.
Amitiés.

Hi Chris. Agree it is certainly worthy of contributing this landscape to add to Mongolia views. I like the placement of the cabin and the notes are interesting as always. TFS. Murray.

I like the view and the barn, but I think the light is very hard.
Best wishes,

Hello Chris,
I agree with what has been said previously; the image is a little bit harsh and a bit small. The centre of the photo seems to be substantially brighter than the darker ring to the extremities of the shot. But it's worth is not in the quality but in the scenery - more so the representation of it. As you say, this particular place is seldom photographed and rarely, if ever presented to us on TE. I have never heard of this place, nor am I likely to visit so such images are worthy to build my mental picture of this country. Thanks for the upload.

Hi Chris,
A good POV on houses is from a corner, as here on this cabin! Good off centering too and nice overall colors and sharpness. We can see it is quite green at the time! Funny how plants grow on the roof too!
Greetings

I like this setting of the rural area with the sinple log cabin in the grand landscape. A fine entry Chris from a place not too well represented at TE.
