I took the photo in that special moment, when the two camels were looking at me or so I want to believe
Going to have lunch at the camp, II met this group, they offered, by signals, a camel’s ride, it was lunch time, and there will be lamb, cook in the Mongolian way, so I try to explain them
First: I have no money, only my camera, must return to the yurt camp to search some
Second: To wait for me or return later
They don t understand my signals and went away, it was one of the rare times that I really felt the language barrier

What a nice shot, showing us these beautiful animals as well as the scenery and the distant yurts. The two man add a human presence and colour. It's a very ordnary moment, but all these things combined tell us something about this country.

Signs-language works everywhere, Maria - but Mongolian probably have a strange way to comprehand about money: maybe if they do not see the money, they just cut off...
Anyeway, nice experience, and a fine camaels photo. you might come to Israel to have a camel ride.( though, I never done this...).

Great fun and thanks to your notes and the sad looking cute camels as they look so dissapointed with no taker. I love the sweep of the green and the yurds in the distance giving us a great depth of field. For me one thing I would have liked to see the horseman and the camel separate a little more. A few more moments and the frame would have been filled more by the main subjects and the weight of each subject would have balanced each other in the frame. Beautifully illustrates the area and inhabitants. Fabulous control over exposure and composition, Well done.

this is a unique photo, its composition and colours give it a fascinating, almost theatrical quality. The vast landscape and its homogeneous texture hosts an intriguing daily life scene and a small organized neighboyhood in the distance. There's a superb sense of depth and space and a very interesting arrangement of elements and directions in the foreground. I love the clear, smooth, pastel backdrop, the unusual moody colours and the shadows. An exotic and enchanting picture, your note brings it closer to a usual traveller's experience. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

Impressive daily life scene with splendid colors, light, sharpness, great point of view.
I like soft colors and low point of view.
Great image with a very nice composition.

I felt sad. Wished you could write the camel. Looks like they would like to be riden. At least you end up with great photo.

Another nice shot from Mongolia. Not too many people visit places like you seem to have done: getting so close to the real life style of the local people.I never thought camels exist in Mongolia.Something new for me to learn.Very well done.TFS.
Cheers and best wishes,

Awesome capture of the daily life of people in that parts of the world. But sorry about the difficulty communicating with them, but I'm sure it was an experience for you. Good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.

this is the type of image that you will never get in Patagonia. No local people, just pristine landscape and mountain if the weather is good. Many who go there and see nothing but clouds.
Back to this photo a perfect balance composition. The light is good with beautiful blue sky and most of all that wide open space and rolling hills and those tent houses.

Si il y a une barrière pour la langue, il n'y a pas de barrière pour expliquer par gestes :)
Une scène intéressante avec une belle luminosité particulière qui n'est pas forte

The scene with the Asian camels is beautifully composed, with the cylindrical yurts visible in the background. I will share with a pair of photos of Egyptian camels with an email note.

lovely capture. It feels like a contrast to me as the horses are quite popular in Poland but camels are to be seen just in a ZOO so having them side by side in a daiily life scene is quite interesting like meeting of two worlds.
I am sorry you missed the opportunity. I had a chance to be on the camel before. Maily for the picture purpose but I cannot post it here as TE terms and conditions don't allow it :)
Very nice reportage,

Ciao e buon fine settimana

Holà Maria, gracias por tu comentario
Very authentic photo of Mongolian steppes, magnificent bactrian camels and horse, a sample of the nomads daily life. In the bg, some yurts, locally called ger
A brillant picture, in the subcontinent snakes charmers don't ask money even for the performance itself, you're free to give the amount you want. I can understand also that life is becoming more and more expensive but it's a behaviour a little bit exaggereted from that charmer
Have a good saturday
