Photographer’s Note
An important figure, not only in Mongolian History, but world history as well. This is a statue of legendary Ghenghis Khan (Chinggis Khaan in Mongolian), who presided over the greatest empire the world has ever seen, stretching from Poland to Japan, & south to Java in Indonesia. Taken in Sükhbaatar Square, Ulan Bator.
The alignment & perspective are perfect at the top of the frame, but skewed slightly, at the bottom. Workshops welcome, to correct the steps, but leave the top, as is.

Bonjour, mon ami Chris,
Merci, Chris, de nous offrir chaque fois des sujets intéressants. Vous êtes un reporter et un guide idéal pour mieux comprendre l'Asie.
Le grand angle permet de cadrer large, les défauts engendrés sont à ce prix.
Mille mercis !
Amitiés.

Hello Chris,
A good capture of this statue of the legendary man, from whom a large part of the world's population is supposedly descended according to recent DNA testing. Very good upwards point of view; the slightly skewed perspective in this case helps put the emphasis on the statue and is not too disconcerting. Very good colours and clarity.

Hi chris,
this works because of the low POV. I am a bit astonished that they made such a dark statue of him, I had some more light expected, but that might be European expectation. Just the stairs straightened.

Hi Chris!
Impressive monument and statue of this very important historical figure. Great composition and framing (although with a little crop on the left it would be more balanced), great light managment! Congratulations!
