Some semi-domesticated yaks, wandering in front of Turtle Rock, the centerpiece of Terelj National park, which is about 50 km north east of the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator.
Mongolia had its driest Spring in decades, hence the grass is near dead, & not green, as it usually is.

I couldn't decide which one is more interesting: being in Mongolia, viewing this superb rock or photographing this herd of yaks? I really envy the total of these :)

You can certainly see why it's named Turtle Rock. Very good point of view with the yaks adding much to the mood of the scene. Superb colours and clarity.

Marvelous "Turtle Rock" and the Yaks provide a grand scale to the compositons. Thanks for the note.
Congratulations, very nicely done

It's excellent, I love the combination of this rock and the yaks in front of it, nicely composed, colours are just a bit odd, too much magenta and yellow for my taste, I tried to adjust it in my workshop, hope you'll like it.
TFS & regards!

Olá Chris, that's quite a giant turtle, indeed. And its pink color make it stand out well from the surrounding colors. Excellent FG with the yaks giving dynamism and depth to the landscape.

It really looks like a turtle. Very well captured with the yaks and great colors and sharpness. Your POV is very good. Glad to be a member of TE and be able to see through your pictures things that I won't be able to see personally.

They are a bit dwarfed by the aptly named Turtle Rock but they are nice and colourful, even gracious in a way... Beautiful beast in a beautiful environment, nice shot,
