The Tuul River originates in Terelj Gorkhi National Park, about 80 km north east of Ulan Bator. It eventually flows into Lake Baikal.

Not a bad image, the light is a little harsh which I find impacts on the image a fair bit. I think a few extra elements would have been useful to boost the overall feel of this shot. I may have chosen a vantage point closer to the water edge, at a lower level across the length of the stream. This way you could have used those shadows to the side to their full potential. Points I do like are the vibrant foliage and the polarized deep sky. Good to see a glimpse of a part of the world that we don’t usually see or hear a lot from. I look froward to seeing more.

I like the mix of tones in this image, which together form a pleasing harmonious whole. Very good colours and excellent clarity.

Hi Chris, This looks like a little corner of paradise to me. I like to see such a remote area through your lenns. A great series. TFS. Murray.

A facinating part of the world and rarely visited. I love this photo purely for that reason. The capture is great aswell and has the best aspects that travel photograghy gives. ( location, ambience and a great angle to show ot off .)
Awsome well done

That's such a nice an unexpected landscape of Mongolia you share here! The picture combining the green of the vegetation, the nude ground and hills and the pure blue sky is really nice.
Thanks for sharing and for your visit!

Amazing landscape with the calm river wound this way through the pine trees. I like the mountain in the background. Great colors and excellent light.

The pine tress make an excellent frame for the river view. The river is well placed in the frame to lead the eye to the mountain. I like the strong blues and greens.

Well composed, with the large tree on the right nicely anchoring the frame. The light was strong here and you managed it well, as there are also some good shadow effects. The distant peak is well seen. This looks like a bucolic spot, little known to the rest of the world. Well captured.

A fine view of the Mongolian countryside and wilderness with bright colors and good weather(unlike most of Europe and South Asia..)!
Nice POV and framing...

Very interesting image from Mongolia. This is not the kind of image I had in mind for this country. Beautiful trees, with this blue sky. Thanks for making us discover this remote area of the world.

A lovely scenery, so peaceful and nice!
Interesting to see the combination og fresh green trees and the brownish ground, and of course the never failing bright blue sky...
An attractive, classical composition!

Superb colours in this beautiful shot of this peaceful place. The pine trees have been used well for the framing of the river as it winds it way from the mountain. Lovely picture!

Hi Chris. Great photo. The green trees contrast well with the dry hills in the BG. Good composition, the river makes a good lead-in line. Good colour and detail also. Thanks for sharing.

You chose a very good angle between the trees, with the small lake and the mountains in background. Very well composition and colours.
Have a nice sunday,

It's a bit pity that the colours and sharpness suffered so much with the scan, because it is a beautiful view, very well composed. I like that mix of aridness with clear water and pines, something that is rather exotic to my eyes.
