Hello Melinda,
Welcome to TE. I'm not sure if this is typical of the Maldives, but it's a decorative and colourful picture. The water that has been spilled on the table adds an element to the composition.
Not that a picture like this really need much explanation, but please remember that a note of some kind, telling the background of a picture, is always appreciated. It will also increase your chances of receiving smileys.
