Photographer’s Note

This is a view of the wonderful green lagoon of a bunch of small atolls in the Bodu Huraa main one in the South Malè group.
There is a sister picture on TE took from another POV.

The image wasn't post processed, just cropped with a light correction of less than a 10%.

From the thumbnail I thought of some green fields - what a surprise then to meet this very green lagoon. Good use here Paolo if the simple details of the grand flat surface of the ocean in this stunning setting.

Stunning colours here Paolo, but I'm not so sure about the ratio of sky to water here. I think it would have worked better with either more sky and less water, or more water and less sky. This almost half and half ratio that we have at the moment isn't so visually satisfying.
On the other hand, I do like the fact the horizontal layers of blue, white and green - almost like a flag. Maybe that was your intention, to go for the balance between the three layers.
I think it's worked well, and although I stand by my original comments, I can see why you chose this composition.

I really envy your trip aroud the world, Paolo. This is an amazing minimalist representation of the paradise in earth, with most attractive colors. I think I even see a mirage of a mermaid in the background :) Perfect placement of the horizon in the middle.

Very graphical shot, with only 3 colors and 3 textures. The colors are amazing, and the gradiant tones in the water, incredible. Very beautiful! Complimenti.
