Photo took in the Dighufinolhu-Bodu Huraa Lagoon, in the South Malè Atoll, from a dhoni boat.

I knew only few days ago that this wonderful atolls around Bodu Huraa were completely destroyed by the Tsunami of past January! We went in that lagoon 3 times, we well know the people that worked there (Maldivians, Italians and Croatian), but we haven't any other notices of them. The islands of Bodu Huraa are officialy closed to the tourists, and the 3 resorts completely damaged.

Le nuvole un po' gialle mi piacciono soprattutto leggendo nina simone a lato... è quasi come se guardando il paesaggio uno si ubriachi del tutto, trasformando colori e realtà.
in fondo, una foto rispecchia il tuo stato d'animo del momento, non è mai la realtà, no?

Not sure if I really like the somewhat reddish(?) colours of these clouds, that's why I made you this little workshop. Anyways, overall it's a real nice photo. Great classic composition with lovely turquoise. Well done, Paolo.

Hi Paolo.

The title "blue/blues" of this, simple and tradicional but enjoyable, composition resumes the photo very well.

I've been watching your photos and other curious title is "Never Ending Story" and very appropiated too (I live in Barcelona and your titles has made me laught!!). The "Canaleto" is also superb and reminds me my trip to Venice.

In any case, well done shot and regards!

MUCH better scan Paolo. The pinkish hue in the sky is very interesting, I dont think Ive ever seen pink clouds. But hey, its beautiful a bit different and makes the whole photo glow with warmth. The sharpness here is also much better than in some other scans you posted.

Ah, ma allora anche tu ti dai alle sinfonie di toni monocolore!
Ha ragione Rafal, lo scanner ha fatto un lavoro molto migliore.
ma è la foto che colpisce, così allegra nell'immagine, cos' triste nella nota.
Mi ricorda una volta di più che un'immagine è solo un attimo congelato nel tempo, per tenere vivi i ricordi. Ma non solo non è la realtà, non è nemmeno il ricordo, solo uno stimolo per riaccendere l'emozione.
Spero che tutti i tuoi amici stiano bene, e sia solo questione di tempo per poterci tornare!

Che meraviglia questo posto, visto così da lontano! E' veramente l'isola dei sogni. Una foto bellissima, e lo scanner è stato bravo anche lui! Ma tu passi allo scanner i negativi o le foto? Io tento con i negativi.

I don't know why there is a fuss over pink clouds. We often get them when the sun is low in the sky and is shining on the clouds. That could have happened if your back was to a low sun here. Having said that I think Aleksander has done a fine WS.
This is a photo of Paradise and the damage done since this photo is a terrible shame. I read somewhere that if Global Warming continues at the present rate the Maldives could disappear altogether. Let's hope that doesn't happen

A place I always wanted to go to visit a friend teacher on one of the islands, not easy to get the essence of the wide sunny islands but you did it here very well with this light colored bue sea and clouds in the deep blue sky and at the horizont this green island, very well seen.

Every time I look at your impressive list of visited countries I say WOW
There is so much to choose from,
Because of the bad weather here I choose this Maldives one,
I’ve been there too and it’s really a place I would love to be now.
