Photographer’s Note
My wife just returned from Canada with a heap of my old photos. This was taken on our honeymoon in the Maldives. I have many island and beach pictures but what really impressed me was Maale. Between the fish market and the Mosques it is a place I would love to return. The Islands weren't that bad either.
"Resorts in the Maldives woo tourists with promises of 'the last paradise on earth'. If your idea of paradise is a pristine, tranquil tropical island with swaying palm trees, pure white beaches and brilliant turquoise lagoons, then the Maldives won't disappoint." -lonely planet

hey ben,
Im surprised this got so little feedback. I think its one of your better shots, on TE to be frank. The simplicity of the color scheme and the nice graphism of the silhouettes againt the beautiful blue creates a really pleasing looking photo.

Well done Ben,
Nice picture and great colors. Was it scanned? It seems that the blue sky is a bit strange around the Mosque. Great shot. TFS. Cheers.

Hi Benjamin.
This certainly stands out, even as a thumbnail.
Great contrasts of rich, somber colours and an interesting graphic look to it.
Nice note, too. Sounds like a good place to go in the future.
Yours,
Andrew.
