Photographer’s Note

Another picture from my diving holiday at the Maldives.
In the evening, you go to the boat house to arrange your dives for the next day. 1/2H before sunset it is still about 25 degrees C.

Here a view of the restaurant and bar of the hotel.
I documented the hotel rooms in another picture.
There are a lot of islands with just one and only one hotel on the island. To the left you can notice the hotel's support infrastructure: communication antenna; power generators etc..

After booking your dives, you do what most divers do: you "discuss", in the evening sun, your former dives with your new friends and as the evening progresses sharks become bigger and bigger, murina's more and more agresive.
The thing I always found weird: you "might" expect this from "men" but female divers... they are hooked too.

Heel mooie, zachte kleuren bij deze zonsondergang. Ziet er betoverend mooi uit.

The photo has great balance. The dock leads the eye to the buildings very well. You have captured the lighting just right for a wonderfully colored photo.

Hi Alfred,

So glad to discover the Maldives again, I was there 4 years ago, but this atoll is different than what I managed to see in a week. I am not sure I would be able to find a better angle, looks as if you discovered what passed through my mind. The golden hour is also very pleasant to see.
