[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ok, I know it's a sunset and nothing else. Nobody's in the frame. Only a natural phenomenon happening once in a while (every day around 6-7pm in fact :-)

BUT, to me, this sunset is important because it was my first Maldivian Sunset! Gorgeous, don't you think? Well, for me it was simply breathtaking. I've never seen such a beauty as I never had a chance before to observe an ocean horizon facing the sunset line. Imagine being there with only the sound of the ocean and actually bats screams flying around... (they're huge AND absolutely not scaring I promise :)
After this one, let me tell you I did not miss any of them during my holidays in the Maldives.

This week spent in Kuredhoo made me feel in paradise. I discover plenty of animals and learned to enjoy every minute of day. It felt incredible and when I think about it, there's a song that comes to my mind:

You are right, Prisley - even though this happens every day it's an amazing sunset you have captured here. No, there are no people but the view of those bungalows on stilts adds a lot to the image..........and make me want to go and pack my suitsace immediately. It sure looks like paradice on Earth.

Yeah, beautifully composed, all those different types of clouds in one sky and as you say a 'phenomenal' sunset. Well worth a visit, a lovely image, well done! Will look at some of your other work too.

Du coucher de soleil, un classique, mais un coucher de soleil peut avoir differents visages selon le pays on l'on est, et c'est toujours aussi beau a regarder ! The perfect moment je dirais meme, tres belle photo Stan ! Les couleurs sont froides et juste l'astre qui rechauffe toute la scene !

Un couché de soleil, mais c'est quand meme chaque fois différent, et toujours beau à regarder.
Le ciel nuageux, le cadrage des palmiers sur la gauche, les silhouettes, cette petite partie chaude dans tout ces tons froids....bien fait

Hi Prisley,

Very nice shot and nice story behind it, it's true it's amazing to witness a sunset/sunrise on the ocean! Each day I've got a song coming back again and again in my head. Today's song will surely be "Just a perfect day", even if I'm at work with rain and wind outside :-).
I like that shot because of the reflection of sunlight. Silhouetted houses add quality and interest to your composition, than it's not a simple sunset on the ocean BUT A wonderful sunset from the Maldives!

C'est une superbe carte postale de coucher de soleil que tu nous proposes là.
Les couleurs sont vraiment magnifiques et je le dit honnetement car souvent sur ce type de photo beaucoup de gens proposent des couleurs trop saturées: ce n'est pas ton cas, bravo.

Hi Prisley,
They say, a perfect sunset makes the day perfect. Just that brief moment of utter beauty and solitude, makes one forget what had happened, whether good or bad, the day before it sets.

I can sense the quietness,or peacefulness of this setting. The sea is placid and probably so is the atmosphere. A quiet moment.

I can see that we share the same type of photos, such as metro trains, sunsets, tilted coffee shops. This sunset is marvellous and makes us wish to visit the Maldives. Well done.
