Photographer’s Note
I guess I'm just as much as anyone with a thing about sunset. Something about sunset which evokes a kind of peaceful and melancholic emotion in all of us, regardless of race, religion and creed.
In the city where I live, Kota Kinabalu, we have a beach called Tanjung Aru. In English, probably it means Cape Aru, which doesn't sound good. I guess when it comes to name, better keep it native.
Tanjung Aru is about 20 minutes drive from KK (promounced Kay Kay), short form of Kota Kinabalu. On this beach, it has food courts with a view of the beach, and definitely sunset. You could sit down and enjoy that "teh tarik" while watching the sun goes down, throwing tantrums with purple, red and yellow into the horizon. One day, I would show you a picture of a drink maker, whipping tea with milk. After all the whippings, you would have a glass of warm frothy delicious tea.
Nobody on the road
Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
The summer's out of reach
Empty lake, empty streets
The sun goes down alone...

Wow... it's hard to get a sunset like that in Penang. The leaves at the top left corner adds interest to the picture too.

Hi Rabani, I like the colour of the sky, the light beam in it water, the calm sea with the two people as detail, maybe the horizon not horizontal! But splendid picture.

Bani,
WOW! I love the sunset you captured here. Personally, I am also glad you left the tree branch in the scene as well. Great capture my friend. Looks like you took it almost a year ago. Hope you get a little rest & relaxation again from all of your trekking. God's best to you,
Tim

A most beautiful scene, Rabani. Good layered composition, a fine placement of the "fireball" at the right, and great to have the silhouettes of the two people in the compo. The colors are a joy to behold in this one, I've really enjoyed staring at this photo for a while :-) Well done. Added to the song title theme (great Don Henley tune).

these sort of pictures are everywhere, but that doesn't matter. they alwasy bring back certain emotions and memories for me. Perfectly framed, great color, and a title that begs you open the thumbnail, from the song right?

Great composition with the 2 people on the left and the colors are so beautiful! A sunset is a sunset, but that's a really nice sunset.

What a nice sunset… I like the soft Colors, which creates a relaxed atmosphere, and you got a straight horizon with diagonal line of coast (nice composition). And, those 2 people add a final touch of interest. Well done
