Photographer’s Note
The pergola of the Kundasang War Memorial and Garden facing north towards the mountain. The war memorial was constructed in 1962 to commemorate the 2,428 Allied prisoners who died during the 2nd World War at the Sandakan POW Camp, and the casualties of the 3 infamous Sandakan-Ranau Death Marches from Sandakan to Ranau.
The Memorial and Garden is built among the pine trees of a hill near Kundasang, the market garden town of Sabah. If you are in Kundasang, this hill is on the right side of the road that leads down the Mesilau Valley.

Hi Rabani,
I believe your composition here is simply adorable!
The flowers in the foreground are such a beautiful
touch for they add a color to the otherwise white scene.
The perspective is wonderful too—perfectly placed
away from the center. All the details can seen due to
the good sharpness. The columns look impeccable!
I would not mind sitting on the bench at the right
side to enjoy such an pleasant and peaceful memorial!
Very pretty photo Rabani!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Assalamaualaikum Rabani,
a great shot of the pergola. The sky is indeed very dramatic.
The reflection break the monotnes of the the rows of the column which is very captivating. The lilies in the fg helps a lot in diversifying the composed elements.
A very nicely composed shot in a calm and peaceful environment.
regards,
Foozi
