Photographer’s Note
Yes. It's another one of those sunset photos again. But why not. We never seems to get tired of waiting to see sunset and others, just don't get to see them at all.
This sunset was taken at Pantai Manis near Papar, a riverine town 20 minutes drive south of Kota Kinabalu. In English, Pantai Manis is Sweet Beach. But there's nothing sweet about the beach now. It is far from it. It is one beach where desolation and abandonment is becoming more of it. So much so, nobody comes around long enough even to uproot this embedded driftwood.
Still, it makes a good anchor for this sunset photo. To get the colors and even out the high contrast differences, a ND Grad filter was used.

Salam Rabani.Beautiful colours and reflections. when i hear Sabah, I think of my unlucky friend from uni days who came from Semporna. Hence, the soft spot i have for this part of the world, although I have not been to Borneo. By the way, I like your timing as the edge of that spent wave meets the branch, like a string. regards. Klaudio.

Greetings, Rabani -
I never tire of seeing great sunsets. This is a great image - soft light and beautiful color tones of the sky reflected on the wet sand so sharply. The driftwood and its reflection really add an element of interest. Well done.

No question about the beauty. From the daily influx of visitors and tourists, Sabah is well designated for its biodiversity and landscape. The incredible coastline all around, and the mountains within.
From May-August, I can imagine the good light is going to provide such great photography opportunity. This sunset view is simply within easy reach in Sabah, you have such a long stretch of coastlines awaiting for a capture on the sensor. The warm colors here are showing the warmth and evening delight at end of hard day.

Hi Rabani,
The hues you have produced from using the filter has produced an amazing colour in the horizon. Composition with the driftwood at the right of the photo works well in my opinion. I could even see a reflection of the cloud on the foreground.
TFS.

The scene is common and normal along the beach.
However, you present it well in extraordinary way through photographing. Nice composition. Well done in capturing the reflection on sands.

Bonjour Rabani,
une grande douceur dans les lumières et les couleurs de cette photo. Elle est très reposante, peut être en peu trop centrée verticalement.
Regards.
Daniel.
