Photographer’s Note
Hello friends in TE,
I have been seeing gray sky for a week now but I was trying my luck outdoor with this raintree. This raintree is just across the river from my house which is on the left river bank. The thickness of canopy varies throughout the year and in the month of may, the canopy is getting thicker until November when it starts thinning again.
Work Flow
Shot this in RAW and made many adjustments in CS3 before saving the image to TIFF. Tweaks with level and curve before resizing it to JPEG for TE.
Thanks for viewing.
Please check out Latiff's excellent workshop. Thanks :-)

Fabulous painting like effect with beautiful hues and wonderful lights and perspective. I love the way the tree has been taken into account and the overall countryside feel to this one.

hi Jusni
Did you swim across the channel? The irrigation canal is only 15 feet across and providing a good boundary line to your land. The road seems narrow on this side but it is paved, so must be superb for cycling. How I wish the sunset color will add to your capture here. The raintree is nicely framed in this great composition exercise.

Hi Jusni,
To me, this is an excellent landscape, full of light and a lovely and dominant green colour in varied tones. The tree is perfectly positioned and what I like best is the way you used both the river and the road to drive the eye to the mountains in the horizon line. Good work!
Regards,
JR
P.S.: The place where you live is certainly enviable. Congratulations!

Hi Jusni,
Beautiful scenery which has a different green's scale. It seems a watercolor painting. This tree was well placed and covered a great part of the gray sky. Good idea to chose this frame. Well done, regards, Consuelo

Jusni,
Nice use of this tree fanning out to the other side & parallel curves in your composition. PP work could be better: yellow color cast on the overall image; some green yellow stains at the branches in the middle. Hope you don't mind I'm pointing these out. Regards. Latiff.
PS: I did a WS as an alternative presentation. Will remove if you don't like it.

Hi Jusni
Indeed a perfect perspective created by the anal and the road and a very good diagonal with the tree foliage. A great geometric composition, plus of course your sharp image and natural colors

Hello Jusni,
I like here of the depth and perspective in this picture.
The small way leads us very depth to the background, together with the curve to the end of the way.
The sky is maybe little bit overexposure through the strong backlight, but I can enjoy of your picture.
Thanks for sharing.
I wish you a very nice Pentecost weekend,
John.

Hello Jusni,
This is a lovely tree, so nicely located by the canal!
This is a simple composition, but it conveys the characteristics in the landscape well...
Good lead-in by road and canal, taking my eyes through the scenery!

I LOVE this tree!! I wish I had it close by my house :) Very beautiful green and fog or mist always seems to give such 'mood' to a picture. Very nice pov. The ws is also nice, but I like this just as it is. TFS and have a great Sunday!

Hello Jusni,
Stunning green textures while the muddy canal and paved road adding great depth. The raintree stays wonderful with its huge, wide branches in your very well composed and captured frame. Congratulations.
Friendly Regards,
Ertugrul
