Photographer’s Note
Sabah Adventure Race or SAC as it's locally called here, is a 3 days multidisciplines adventure race and begining to be The Adventure Race of Sabah with its latest 9th edition.
Usually with a total distance run of around 200km,the race ranges from hot and dry run on wide open rural countryside to abseiling waterfall as seen in the photo.
In the photo, an extreme category runner abseils a section of the Kionsom Waterfall before biathlon up a 4km steep concrete paved road before careening down the otherside of the hill to Kiulu, 30km away.
To shoot this section, you either abseil down the same way with the runner or rope up to the rockledge just below this point. The rocks are very slippery and you need to be on rockclimbing gear.

Hello Rabani Bravo to pick to the flight this moment, this athletic gesture! The much beautiful and clear figure that stand out on the dark bottom and the flow white man of the water in cascade who gives dynamism to the scene. Soon Nino.

Hey,
Another great shot, under extreme conditions. I like that the girl is really clear and sharp, and the moving water is blurred appropriately. She must have held that position for a moment to snap her.
Cheers,
Dave

That's a cool shot, Rabani. I like the angle, the composition and the milky looking flow of water.

Assalamualaikum
Kalau alang-alang saja kemahuan, kompom duduk di bawah, main siring-siring sungai - putih mata tidak sanggup mau ambil shot begini. Lebih-lebih lagi kalau inda' pandai berenang. :D
A great work by a dedicated adventure photographer. A close-up action shot that had greatly captured the force and extreme challenge of the sport.
Salam hormat,
Ramdan.

hello Rabani
Now I know why you and Ramdan went to Kionsom Waterfalls for photo shoot. You stake out the place for SAC and getting ready for your hunt. I can imagine the endurance test of SAC, nothing less than the climbathon. Good waterflow effect to show the action, even though the contestant is frozen here. I imagined at 1/13, the contestant probably struggling and pausing to move an inch upward, or just finding a foot hold.

Hi Rabani
Very interesting catch with a very good framing quality.
I note a very good explanation in your notes.
I suggest just a simple WS for lights.
Cheers.
