Photographer’s Note

6.09 a.m. - As the sun rises the atmosphere and cloudscape changed and this one has the impression of a hostile alien land which the atmospheric details suggested. Maybe one to remind us of the consequences of global warming that may be coming.
Here the sun has risen above the clouds giving a warm overcast and the movement of the clouds created this stormy scene.
I have not changed the colours except for slightly saturating it and removing some noise.

stunning photo, I absolutely agree with adding "decisive moment" as a category, such light is exceptional. I keep admiring the colours, there's even a hint of green in the upper part of the phot. excellent work, my compliments.

It's impressive this shot,this is what is hapens over our heads..The colours and the contrast are great without doubs,but it doesn't give the impression of a hostile aline but an apocalyptic end,the Judgement Day..And the sharp,great too,sincerely congratulations.

Hello Aloysius,

It is wonderful to see the clouds from above, and during daytime they are well lit too!
These are interesting formations in a distance and an expert would probably have something to say about the weather...
