[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Mahua Waterfall is in the district Of Tambunan. To get to this waterfall, from Kota Kinabalu, take the highway to Tambunan and when you reach the roundabout, take left and drive for about 15 minutes or so while looking for the signboard which says "Mahua Waterfall".

It's about 20 minutes drive on gravel road to the Sabah Park's Substation. You register at the substation and it's only a 10 minutes jungle trail walk to the fall. Campsite is also available with washroom and toilet facility.

If you are shooting this fall, don't just shoot the falling water. Shoot the rockface behind the fall. It's green with moss and lichen and certain upper part, you can see its rock characteristic.

Hi Rabani!
how many beautiful places, very nicely described. Here lights and shadows are great.
And thanks for the useful note too

Livia

Assalamualaikum bang. Kalau saya ikut, kompom habis tiga kad untuk eksperimen air terjun unik dan cantik ni.

Beautiful scenery with spot lights fallen onto the water surface, creating nice pattern on it. The captured force and flow of the falling water is very nice, too. And, I can see details on the rockface behind the fall. Great shot.

Salam hormat,
Ramdan.

hi Bani

Great shot of waterfall from a nice pov. The sun light and shadow play is a nice way to capture this view.

TFS, bill

Hi Bani, I hope that you are doing well. As usual you are presenting a photo with solid tech and fine explanations in the accompanying note. I like how you included the people in this scene, they make it lively in a non-intrusive way and add interest to the pastoral scene with the falling water. The 1/5 sec works out fine to give just the right amount of motion blur in the waterfall (I don't like very slowly-exposed waterfall photos; but this one I like a lot as you got the speed just right in my taste). Greetings from Nagasaki.

Hi Bani,

I like this shot of the falls from a high vantage point. The people, sunlight and shadows make this an interesting shot.

Unlike our Sarawakian friend, you are very generous in sharing the detail info on getting to the places that you visited.

TFS,

Alfred

Aaah...
I want to be there, it's raining and cold here! :)
Great photo.
