A team of adventure runners from the Sabah Adventure Challenge 2008 admiring the late afternoon scene before mountain biking the last 4km rough rural road to their campsite at Kg. Malangkap Baru on the 2nd day of the 3 Days Sabah Adventure Race.
In the background is Mount Kinabalu bathed in the late afternoon sun with a part of a rainbow arching in front of it.

Fantastic shot taking in the scenic backdrop with a rainbow. The majestic mountain is visible and nicely captured in this later afternoon light.
You travel by car, I suppose, not on a bike like the SAC participants. Must be exciting following the trail and shooting the events.

Assalamualaikum Rabani. I have often tried to analyze what it is about cycling, in particular riding a road bike that makes it a life long passion and I still have the Robin Hood and a Rolex. Many people, including myself, have had periods when we stopped riding, but we are always drawn back at some point or other. Non-cyclists can’t understand it, and it is only another cyclist having the same passion who can. Passions derive from sensations, feelings. I don’t think anyone can explain why certain simple things in life give us so much pleasure. A beautiful sunset, the taste of a favorite food, or a particular sound. These things have to be experienced to understand, and even then, another person may not have the same sensation. Everyone enjoyed riding when they were young and one have to wonder why the sudden termination of the pleasure. I hope you are one of rider tasting those beautiful backdrop of the rainbow cuddling the misty peak under stunning diagonal lighting. Have a very nice day. Jusni
