[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Wherever I've been in SEA, food and dining has always been the most important hobby for the chinese. Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Borneo or Indonesia, it seems the chinese are always around a dinner table ; in Singapore it's almost a national hobby trying to find the best mee noodle soup in town.

This is Petaling street in Kuala Lumpur, this table was next to mine. I saw the woman opening her newspaper while the others were laughing out loud, I knew this was my shot. Just backed a bit my chair, sneaked behind, held the camera close, a manual focus guestimate and the wide angle did the job. No one noticed, I carried on with my coconut tiger prawns.

In China the Chinese love to eat and spend immense amounts of money on restaurants. The latest craze in Shanghai is for Western or Fusion cuisine with restaurants packed throughout the day and into the night. I think eating is sort of a religion for them, getting together with the family, friends...talking, sipping rice wine and heaving a good time.

I like this shot, because it's spontaneous. Two faces are obscured and there is a heck of a lot to look at here, but I think that adds to the scene you were trying to present here. Nice one, Luko, and a little something different from you. Well done!

This could easily have been taken here in Taiwan as well. I love the slice of everyday life you have caught here Luko, and I especially like the mid-laugh expression on the man wearing the white undershirt. Things do look just a little soft, but not dissappointingly so. Nice work.

Another vivid shot of everyday life, I like how you were able to fit the birds and restaurant sign at top. What is it about opening the newspaper which led you to take the shot?

Daily life indeed! This is sort of a Gringofil shot, is it not? I'm afraid I'm one of those who are always looking for the picturesque (meaning romanticised, unreal), and therefore missing the real story. Thanbks for the photo.

I like the shot because it looks so natural. The people don't play they are just living.

Good job - lot's of action. The faces are still seen - u've clicked in the right moment.

good candid shot, you caught them in a good moment and lots of details to look at. I was trying to read what was in the newspaper LOL!
