Photographer’s Note
Taken at the Poring Hot Springs in Sabah Malaysia, a place where you can soak your weary bones after climbing the tallest mountain range in SE Asia, Mt Kinabalu.
There are also some walking paths through this national park, so I slowly made my way to the tree top canopy walk (with legs feeling like jelly!), and strolled around the roof of the rainforest.
Ive done some color work in photoshop - to enhance the greens, a bit of sharpening, levels and contrast, as well as a dark vignette around the frame of the photo.

I like this photo, and I think you've done a good job with the colours. There is a good mood to this photo. The skinny bridge looks quite harrowing to cross, and you've captured it well as it leads off into the distance and the thick canopy.

What's so cool about this compo is that it has such strong perspectives along both the vertical and horizontal dimensions. The vertigo of the downwards view is well conveyed and so is the winding off of the 'trail.' Nice!
Normally, I'm not crazy about this sort of colorwork. But it works for me here.
Cheers,
Mikkel

Hallo David!
This is an inventive and interesting picture indeed! The depth is incredible and the eyes are nearly drawn into the scenery. I'm not sure whether I would use this bridge ... ;-) Thank you for showing this!
Greetings from autumnal Germany!

Nice shot Dave. Love these canopy walkway shots. Your exposure is perfect, creating a darker type mood, with good emphasis on the planks in the walkway. Great lines going through the photo, mostly in the walkway handrails and wires. A nice looking shot. Really nice composition and place to take the shot, with the walkway curving off to the side in the background, adding a bit of interst in "what is around the corner?".
Great work
John
PS: your TL portraits ain't too shabby either. Very nice.

Hello David,
Very nice composition and point of view. I like the road drawed by the bridge in the canopy. The high deep of field allows to follow without any issue this track.
It should have been a great experience.
Yves.

What an experience you had there. Very exotic perspective in 3D.
Congratulations David!
