Another picture from Semenggoh Wild Life Center. This is my closest encounter with these wonderful primates.. The mother is called Delima and daughter is Selina. The feeding time was almost over (3 - 4 pm) and all the visitors were heading home when these two 'ladies' suddenly turn up out of nowhere on the side of the road as if to meet us!
The mother's protecting arms are always holding and cuddling her young and cute baby, Selina. They may seem friendly and tame, but the workers there warned us not to go too near... rightly so, because Delima's eyes are ever protective of her young and she was very cautious. I was trying to go as near as possible to get a tight head shot of her, but i decided to maintain my distance.

A mother's love is always there for us. Happy Mother's Day!

Great shot. These creatures are really lovely (if they don't get angry!!)

Bonjour,
Très jolis portraits de nos cousins. Les attitudes, avec un regard dans la même direction, a été bien saisi. La netteté est correcte et la couleur conforme à ce que me laissent mes souvenirs. Bravo.
Gérard

Hi Fanny. What an AWESOME shot of a disappearing world. You've captured the scene wonderfully well. The colours and composition are superb. I just hope these animals are still around in 100 or even 1000 years time. Kind regards, Paul.

Hi Fanny
Yes, it's Mother's Day today and your photo serves as a symbolic tribute to all mothers and the love they give to their love ones. Good POV and DOF.

Cheers / Steven

This is fine Fanny. You don't need to have a much closer tight shot than this. Too tight or closer than this, you wouldn't have much left for the environment/background detail. But if you really want to have something better than this, get her to look at you. That way not only you get the the animal to get "personal" with you, but you have something definite to focus on. In wildlife photography, always get the eye. If you can see the pupil/eyelid of one of the eyes and focus on it, you are close enough.
Regards
Rabani

hi Fanny,
a nice shot. i think the peace of grass is a bit disturbing and maybe the greens a bit strong.
Aniway an interesting schot of wild life.:)

Hi Fanny
beautiful shot of the mother and daughter

Derek

Fanny,
I like your tight shot of these beautiful animals. I was in Sabah recently and just loved it - i thought the people of Malaysia were the nicest and genuine of the asian countries ive visited. The Sepilok reserve was also amazing.
Cheers,
Dave.

Another great orangatan photo. The color is perfect the subject is perfect. Their expressions are priceless. I think the one thing this photo can benefit from is some cropping on the left side so the forest people are not so centered but actually offsetted to the left and looking more into the photo. Great work.
