A group of Sea Bajau boys in a dugout canoe, near an island in Semporna. They were practicing fish bombing. In this practice run, they used a plastic bottle of coke as the fish bomb.

Nice shot, the high speed freeze very well the movement. The colors are great as the composition and the DOF.
Well done,
Cheers,
Jean-Claude

I love this action shot - youve captured the split second moment perfectly, with great expressions and poses. Nice placement in the frame, and an interesting background too.
Nice work,
David.

Hi Bani,

Very interesting shot with the boy jumping from the left of the picture. The DOF is so good that it outstand the subject and yet keeping the backgound as a supporting figure. Very nice picture. I really love it!

Hello Rabani,
Another great shot of children at play. It fully captures their spontaneity & lack of inhibition. Makes one feels that they are very comfortable with you. Good DOF & light colored blur to emphasize your subjects. Like that perfect freeze on the flying coke bottle. Regards. Latiff.

Hi Bani. Good moment of action captured in this photo - the timing turned out very good with the makeshift fish bomb in mid-air, and the boy just jumping into the water. Nice to see the other two fellows in the boat, and the long focal length gave you a nice soft bokeh to set them apart from the gentle natural scenery.

Hi Rabani
The soft and blurred background helps to bring the subjects in your action shot. Wonder if having the full reflection on the water add greater impact?

BTW is the use of fish-bomb an illegal act?

Cheers / Steven

Hi Rabani,
Photography wise, this is a great picture but the practice is a menace to our threatened marine life.
