Photographer’s Note
Kuching market, a lady lurking on the earrings stand that would complete her camouflage battledress.
I was struck through the viewfinder and had to blink with the eyes to notice exactly where was the earrings/jade items holder and the actual dress. That's the way good camouflage fatigues should work... much more efficient in market battlefields than the regular olive drab one.
That's my anti-Manny glamour girl shot, the model he will never shoot. No Paulas, Gildas or any Thai babes.
I'm almost sorry with the hindsight... but deep inside I empathize with the people I shoot...

hi Luko, it is a simple image but nice, interesting person. ha, the frame is divided into two almost equal parts... I'd go further and compose the picture from two equal parts - the woman and those red things only, without the part on the right side of this metal thing.. isn't her face a bit softer than her arm, where is the focus... anyway, it is a fine shot, simple but interesting

This is a great title for a very good daily life photo! Your note is very pertinent also. Tight crop, only the essential is visible to express what you want. Very good work IMO.

I like this shot Luko, I really like how the things being sold (not earrings, btw) echo the pattern in her clothing (sort of) and I think your cropping/composition is really good too. Two small things, neither of which would be under your control. First, whatever is directly behing the rack for sale, is pretty white and kind of distracting. Secondly, the background in general is kind of vibrant. Interesting to see you use a longer lens and shallow DOF, I am more used to seeing WA shots from you. Doesn't matter, you make this work as well.

i didnt understand the picture before i read the note. just thought a normal market shot of a lady buying fake jewelry. but this is very good. the way you see it.
my only complaint would be the shallow DOF. the earrings are out of focus while the dress is quite sharp. that's why we dont see what you want to show in the first instance.

Sadly, she needs more than this urban or rather cosmetic camouflage. Definitely anti-Manny glamour series like yours is on the other end of the feminity spectrum.

I appreciate your humour Luko :)
Your spin on an otherwise ordinary passtime is clever and unique here. The gaudy red colours clash well with the otherwise grey background.
[I originally thought the pricetag was 500 Ringgits but upon closer inspection it was only 5.00-- I almost had hopes. (RM5.00 is roughly US$1.30)]
