[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Spotted these dragon sculptures on the roof of a Chinese temple.

Dragons occupy an important postion in Chinese history and mythology. They are depicted in arts, literature, poetry and architecture.

In Chinese history, the dragon is a symbol of imperial power. Emperors considered themselves as dragons and sons of the heaven. They slept on so-called dragon beds. They wore ceremonial dragon robes. The throne is the dragon seat. Dragons are part and parcel of the architecture of imperial palaces.

Hi Steve, I see you have been to my birthplace, Kudat. It is also the first home of immigrant Hakkas when they landed on this tiny trading outpost in the late 1800s. I imagined you must have had gone to Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, the longhouse etc...

Small towns are quiet and people have more time to live than the cities. More times to think or be creative. More times to dream or imagine.

Kudat is one of the many quiet, laidback towns of Malaysia, where you actually have to look very very hard to find anyone sleeping on the walkways. Let alone those with five dollar note waiting.

Regards
Bani
