im still new in PANNING technique, im trying to acquire a good skill in panning... pointing at moving subjects and shot with the correct shutter speed can do wonders to an ordinary scene... this technique needs some useful calculations in speed which i have forgoten but so far i think for a speed of 20-30 km per hour... if you want to have a slightly blurred background, using a shutter speed of 1/30 to 1/60 helps a lot(my experience)
this shot was taken during the new year 4wd challange in kg BAWANG, TAMPARULI where the event was held by the TAmparuli Adventist 4WD Club. i was there for obvious reasons-because i love 4wd activities too. to go beyond your limits in driving really excites my self. what more if you have one of this machine, its like you can reach unreachable capabilities (does not apply with speed ofcourse) such as jungles and highlands(which is a limit for speed cars)...
i think combining 4wd interest with photography.. there's really alot to gain when both of them go together...

Yeah panning is very hard to pull off. I tried it with drift racing and some motorcycles and it is a great challenge. I Think you have managed to pull a nice shot from this and it looks very exciting! I like how the sharpest point of the photo brings you right into the cab. Great work!
I think you've done a good job here tico, I can feel the adrenalin rush and the shakings on the driver. I hear the roaring sounds of the engine and the crowd cheering. All that from this photo. I really thing this is just great! Gratz again topinai.
