Taken during the Thaipusam celebration at the Batu Caves. With his cheek pierced with a pointed rod, this man shows no sign of pain or bleeding as he makes his way up the 272 steps to the temple isnide the great cave. Devotees will swear that it is their deep faith and belief in Lord Murugan that protects them from pain and bleeding.
