Photographer's Note
Standing completely naked in front of their makeshift home of driftwoods and bits and pieces of fishing flotsams, these two stateless children posed with their lollipops while their parent, embarassingly kept themselves, hidden inside from view.
P.S: (After the first 3 comments)
When I posted this photo, I purposely Gaussian blurred the children's private part. The least I could do for the children, to only expose their plight and nothing else. The Naked truth is the graphical overview of the state they are in and we don't need to see their private parts explicitly, to accept or believe that they are naked. My intention is, to show that there are children in this world whom have a lot less to live in or wear. We don't need to see explicitly and graphically, their private parts to figure that out.
The thing is, seeing them with their private part blurred doesn't make them any less naked. And...most of the time, you have to see the whole picture of things, to see the total or naked truth.

Hi Rabani.
Nice shot but isn't there something wrong with these two little figures ? Have you been applying some digital manipulation to them ?
I can understand if you have as it seems to be the way of things are in the so called intelligent part of the world ! What a great pity it is that you now have to feel that the human body has to be covered up...But it's quite OK to go to war etc !!!

Lovely photo. The innocence of youth. Nice clear image with good colours. It's a shame that the photo had to be edited, but I guess that's the nature of things these days. Lovely image and well captured.

I am also against such manipulation: either show it how it is or don't show it at all...
So the title seems a little bit strange here as manipulated picture is no truth anymore...

This photo is wonderful and the notes describing them are always poignant and a little painful. I am very glad that you decided to leave these kids with what ever dignity that they have. As for these other critiquers i dont have to see every little inch of these poor kids to know that they have very little and that it is a disgrace that the rest of us let them live in these conditions. Good on you rabani.

This is a very tender and expressive picture Rabani. The relationship between the children and their environment is powerful and the look from the smaller to the taller is touching. You were right to blur the sexual organs, though you might have done it a little more softly. People tend to forget that pictures of naked children are sought by some people and the picture could have ended up in a pedophile magazine. These people do search the internet for their material. That would be an abuse of the children's dignity. With respect to exposing bodies, the bodies of children should be given the same respect as those of adults.

Hi Rabani, I like to read the notes. I agreed with you to post edit the photo. A note with your reasons for doing so really help here.

Good job Rabani. Very nice story and I also agree that covering the kids' body parts is a good thing.
