Photographer’s Note
A baby macaque, pronounced with a hard c like in cake,is getting to grip on the climbing technique on vines, while the rest of the troop,is down below in or around the feeding platform harassing the orang utans,in the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
There are two kinds of Macaques. The Old World and the New World Macaque. The Old World macaque, only found in the rainforest of Asia and Africa. They have short tails and rump pads. The 'rump pad' is the rear or 'butt' part which is thicker and light pinkish in color, much like the palm of our hand or the sole of our foot. These two 'things' distinguish them from other monkeys, which have longer tail and 'furry' butt.
The New World Monkey, found only in the Americas, has prehensile tail. Their tails are longer and 'capabled' of gripping or holding things, unlike the Asian's.

Hi Rabani
Well, it seem that, there's a lot of monkey business going on at Malaysia TE.
Well, it's not the year of the monkey!
Cute chap you got here.
Cheers.

Hi Rabani,
This is a simply gorgeous pic! The depth of focus is wonderful and really makes the macaque stand out... and that little dude is SO CUTE!! I have little doubt that capturing these animals in such a setting isn't easy but you've done amazingly well!
With photos as amazing as this one, maybe you should consider starting a Trek Nature page as well!
Best wishes,
Tony

Cute little critter you've got here Rabani. I like the softness of the image; it works well in the soft light of the forest. It's expression seems to fit your notes as it looks contemplatively at the try and vines.
