Photographer’s Note
This is my first try on night photography. Armed myself with a tripod and a self made cable release from a handphone handsfree kit and off to Alamanda shopping centre in Putrajaya.
Took many shots from different locations around the fountain area with all kind of settings.
Still wonder how to capture the fountain in white color without over expose the building beneath the Alamanda sign. Of course I am not talking about using Photoshop to do it.
Photo was resize and didn't do much to it in Photoshop.
All critiques and comments are welcome.
Thanks.

I think you captured it well. No bleeding of colour around your light sources, the signs. As an exercise, I think you've been pretty successful. I'm not sure now to increase the whiteness of the foundtain. Except to maybe exclude your current white source, the illuminated roof. Although any more exposure would likely cause 'bleed' of colour.

Hi Chai
Nice shot, like the purple effect on the tower and the alamanda logo balancing the photo. To say so, your night photography is quiet perfect.
Well done.

Hi Chai,
There is a great contrast between the various elements yet the dark sky managed to unite and hold them nicely together. You have made a good decision to keep them low. Nice shot!!! Thanks and regards.

Great result for a night shot Chai, very clear and well composed, maybe the water could have been a little bit more dominant but the effect is quite nice, well done.

Always want to go Putrajaya but transportation is always a problem. Usually my business in KL takes only few days and Putrajaya is too far :(
Wish can visit this place someday and make great picture like this.

Good job with the exposure which was long enough for the fountain water. TFS.

Hello Chai, for a first night shot this is very good. You have excellent exposure and good sharpness. I like the combination of the blue and yellow colours, and the fountain in the foreground makes an interesting effect.
