Photographer’s Note
From the base camp at Laban Rata, you could make out the other hostel, with the green vertical billboard in front of it. This is Gunting Ligadan. The rooms are smaller and with bunkbeds too. It has kitchen and two washrooms with "lukewarm"showers. The zinc sheets shelter on the lower left is Panar Laban.
The bigger towering peak above is Tunku Abdul Rahman Peak. On the left is Donkey Ears. The U shaped gap between Donkey Ears and Tunku Abdul Rahman Peak is called Commando Cauldron, the "head"of Low's Gully.
The ridgetop on the right, just beside Tunku Abdul Rahman Peak, is called Commando Col. To reach Low's Gully, you need to scramble up the rockface to the col. From the col, you descend to a rock and bramble strewn valley called Easy Valley. It takes between 3 to 4 hours to reach Lone Tree, where you start your descend/abseil down, to Low's Gully.
The area below Tunku Abdul Rahman Peak is generally called Sayat Sayat. From Sayat Sayat down to the tree lines where ropes are installed, the Park called it The RockFace.
The attempt to the summit starts at 2AM in the morning. It is a walk in the cold darkness and you be walking up wooden steps and rocky path. The trail walks along the treelines, of the forest on the right. Where the forest walk ends, the rope begins on the rockface.
From the base camp, it takes 3 to 4 hours to reach the summit at Low's Peak. Try to reach Sayat Sayat at 4.30AM. From Sayat Sayat, it takes another 90 minutes to reach the summit. Just in time to see sunrise. You do not want to be too early on the summit. It can be shivering cold and windy, waiting for the morning sun to show for work around 6AM.

Hi Rabani. What a POV! The little blue house give all the perspective of the picture. Really nice, I like it.
Thank you for your generous and useful note.
Regards.

Hi Rabani
An impressive view of this imposing mountain, or 'gunung'. I also like the scale & context provided by the houses at the bottom. Good sharpness, color, & lighting. Bagus sekali.

The interesting thing about composition of this pic to me, is the diagonal line represented by the treeline decending to the left. I find the street lights distracing and wonder if the picture would have been improved without them, though that would not provide and honest represtation, but a better pic.
