Workshop Photo - Another Dragon
Chinese are going to celebrate Chinese New Year start from next monday (23th Jan - 6th February 2011, total 15 days). According to Chinese Calander / Chinese zodiac, we are soon saying bye to the year of rabbit and welcoming the year of Dragon.
Dragon is far-reaching impact the life of Chinese. Chinese are adore to dragon since Neolithic. Year 1987, a dragon artefact was unearthed from a tomb at Yangshao Culture Site in Puyang City of Henan Province, Chinese, it is dating back to 6,000 years ago.
A 8,000 years old C-shaped jade dragon was unearthed at Hongshan Culture Site in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. It is looking abstract, just like a baby dragon that not yet have leg.
A dragon dated back to 8,000 years old with 19.7 meter long that arranged by stones was unearthed at Xinglongwa culture site too. Link : Photo - Stone Dragon
The origin of the Chinese dragon is not certain. Some of the experts believe that Chinese Dragon are origin through combination of Totems from multi tribes that adore to different animal, since the ancient book depict that the Chinese Dragon had nine anatomical resemblances, which every parts resemble to a different types of animal, such like face like horse, body like snake, claws like eagle, horns like deer, feelers like catfish... etc.
Another theory said the Chinese Dragon are origin by inspiration from natural phenomenon, such like lightning and thunder, since the sound of thunder "隆" (Long) is same pronounce with the dragon (龙, Long).
Or it is maybe origin from another natural phenomenon, tornado, which named Long Juan Feng (龙卷风) in Chinese.
The Noelithic people are affraid with the natural phenomenon, since the tornado and lightning are dissappear in a brief time, so they do not have enough time to look detaily to the natural phenomenon, and they describe it is look like an unknow creature that represent by multi types of animals.

It is amazing the history of this dragon heritage. Now I understand better the dragons' meaning linked with immortality. (Case to think whether there is a connection with all us or not beyond this life level). At least I feel one thing most of my friends are virtual ones so far. But I am certain taken us as example we should begin sahring a good time. Certainly in your country I should have you guiding me as here too. I also think in the lost friends which broke bounds. I am trying to say that the other side can be a good place to remain. So many people suicide to go faster but I prefer to wait. The opportunity to stay on earth can be only one. Your friend Tomi
