Photographer's Note
Shooting from Mari-Mari Cultural village, this is a house of the race Dayak-Kadazan. This aboriginal house is unique, the roof top, the wall, the staircase and the floor are all built with bamboos, or in other words all the house is built by bamboos.
The photos of making fire with traditional method ( with only bamboos and knife ) are upload as Workshop's photos.

Hi Ally!
You found a good angle to present us this nice house.
I like how it is framed by the rich vegetation and the composition is good with this beton path leading to the stairs.

Bonjour, mon ami Ally,
Très intéressante présentation de ces maisons montées en partie sur pilotis formant une sorte de soubassement.
Le charme de cette construction est manifeste.
Un cadrage très réussi. Merci de nous faire profiter de ces merveilles.
Amitiés.

Hi Ally
A bamboo house must be not only be environmental friendly but also cooling in a sense, it is natural, so possibly an AC is not so important not even a fan. The concrete path leading to house at the same time is a contrast, contemporary vs past. Colors are in accordance with the late afternoon timing of the shot and sharpness is fine. The picture is a good learning example and ideally for TE.
Best regards

Hi Ally,
The corner point of view is allowing me to see the details and colors of two sides of the structure of the bamboo house. The trees are framing well the house. The luminosity is giving a good contrast to the colors. have a nice day.

Bonjour Ally.
Amicalement

A very wide and comfortable house in the middle of nature. The bamboos are an excellent working stuff due to its lightness. The exerienced men who built this one ever have heritaged from their descendents handcraft secrets and the good result is well present here. A house too exotic and good to be away from the urbanism. Good picture. Warm regards. Domingos

Hi Ally. I do love these old traditional houses which are ideally suited to the climate. They are cool inside and dry. I especially like the Malay houses which are more decorative and use wood for posts, floors, window frames, verandas. When I visited a kampong in Kuching I was told that wooden posts are very expensive now and concrete ones are being used.Soon we will all dress the same, eat the same junk food and grow lazy and fat together.Regards. Klaudio.
