Photographer’s Note
I was invited to a wedding reception of a German-Malaysian couple. I hesitated posting this photo. I hope they would not mind. Standing on the "throne of besides the King & Queen of The Day" are the parents of the bride. The head gear worn by the German bridegroom is similar to those worn by the king on ceremonial occasion. Those red roses on the wall, floor, and everywhere are real fresh red roses (flown in from China for the occasion).
Photo shows the "bersanding" part of the ceremony. The "angkat nikah" ... the part where they become husband & wife was held the night before (on Valentine's Day). More info about Malay wedding can be found here:

hi Latiff
My 1st question - why the CPL?
I think you are brave to use 50mmFL for this because you really need your legs to move forward and back to get the framing done. Of course the ISO2000 without flash is of utmost interest to me because I would also be experimenting the same, or probably had done it 2 months ago. Culturally, this is a great presentation of local tradition mixed with something not often seen on TE. I would think the challenge in this shot will be the balance of exposure tone on all 4 persons and the backdrop itself.
A fine TE post.

Hello Latiff,
Thank you for this beautiful wedding portrait and informative note. The bride is gorgeous and her gown and jewels are stunning. So many red roses and the rose petals on the floor are impressive. It is a wonderful and enlightening photo.
Kind regards,
Betty
