Worth mentioning in Kuala Lumpur is the war memorial statue. The memorial sits up on a slight hill outside of the city centre. The memorial statue itself is surrounded by fountains and pillars and just below are beautifully sculptured gardens and walkways.
PP.I darkened the sky eventhough that day was allready full of dark clouds. |

Hello Lance,
In my opinion the shot is very tricky as it seems to be a backlit scene. You pulled it off perfectly. The drama created by the statue is profoundly complemented by the spectacular sky putting on a show of its own. Though the image could have used a little bit of softness, the colors are great.
Well done

This makes a very dramatic shape against the dark, threatening sky, Lance. I find it difficult to make statues exciting, but with you sky and dramatic light, you have succeeded here. One Wonders what war it commemorates, as in Thailand, it is not always clear. It may be the communist insurgency of the 50's or even, some Malay soldiers may have fought against the Japanese occupation. Anyway, it is an interetsing image regards kevin
