Last shot from this event for the time being. I've been meaning to post a shot of this view of Merdeka square for a few years, with the mixture of modern Isalamic architecture blending effectively with the restored old colonial buildings in Merdeka square. The decorations on that night gave it just the extra something.

A really fascinating capture Richard, this beautiful illuminated mixture came out really well. Nicely layered and graphically pleasing too. Very good.
And nice that you are posting again.

Excellent mixture of traditional and modern. Funny how different textures lights make on high rise walls. The event has brought really big crowd on the place.

Hi Richard, amazing shot. the contrast between the small colonial style building and the giant skyscrapers on the back (the one on the right, with the typical architecture is one of my world favorite!) is well captured. good light control and excellent POV.

Nice illuminations and a lot of people. This gives a good notion of the importance of the event.

It used to be the wonderful Selagor Padang before it was sterilized and islamized into Merdeka Square. You picture is very painterly and shows nicely the historic colonel buildings against the assertive modern architecture. Regards Kevin

Impressionant. Pas de panne d'électricité ce jour là ! Je vois qu'ils ne connaissent pas les mots "économie d'énérgie" ! Joli cliché bien exposé et bien composé.

I took a look at your galery andsaw this one;Very nice scene and I like the sompo and sgarpness and details. Only I would have cropped out tyhe lower part with the people there. That makes the compo and contrast with the background even larger.
