Spotted this infant in the comfort and safe hands of his grandpa at an open-air bazaar. He was waiting for his grandma who was shopping there. I was behind them, and from time to time he glanced at me. He was probably wondering what the equipment in my hands was.
In the background, you can see shoppers buying new clothing and footwear, household items, decorations and cookies ahead of the Spring Festival (Lunar New Year) which falls on Feb 7, and to usher in the Year of the Rat. There is in air of festivity even before the big day. This open-air bazaar is held once a year, a couple of weeks prior to the Lunar New Year Day. The vendors must obtain temporary licences from the City Council to ply their trade. |
