Hello Steven,

This looks like it could be a Banded altocumulus, but I am no expert. It certainly looks like it is high-level, it may have even been a jet trail originally but it looks a little broad to be that.

It is a good photo, but I think there is a fair amount of compression artifacts from the resizing. To help limit this, try a cleaning program that offers noise reduction such as Neat Image. It is easy to use and it amplifies the final appeal of your photos. Give it a go. A well composed shot never the less.

Hello Steven!
Clouds are often difficult to distinguish. I agree with Matthew that it can be a altocumulus, but it could also be a cirrus.
Cirrus are normally higher up in atmosphere than altocumulus, from 6-8km and up.

I like your shot, the clouds are nicely colored. The different light on them tells us that the white cloud is much higher up.
Fine with the silhouetted tree in the bottom - giving us a perspective and kind of vertical depth.
Regards, Jon
